Job Description:

Galloways Solicitors and Attorneys is a boutique Sydney CBD law firm. The firm is led by a senior practitioner with over 30 years experience in a number of areas of law with a strong focus in criminal law. 

This is an opportunity for you to gain practical experience and invaluable insight into various aspects of practice within the abovementioned area.  We are offering volunteer PLT placement and work experience positions within the firm.

Duties will include:

Meeting and greeting clients
Attending to telephone calls made to the firm          
Attending Court and assisting solicitors
File management
Drafting correspondence to clients
Drafting and filing court documents
Legal research
Other general administration tasks

To be a successful candidate you will need to:

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have previous work experience in an office environment  
• Be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications
• Be committed to work at least 2-3 days per week for 3 months

Have a positive attitude and take direction well.
 

The positions are unpaid, however all work related expenses will be covered during the term of the placement.
