What you do:

Our Legal & Compliance team supports all aspects of the iSelect business by providing strategic legal and regulatory advice and support. The team's objective is to be the trusted advisor to the iSelect business and to be responsible for understanding and managing iSelect's legal and regulatory risks with a commercial mindset and a customer focus. iSelect prides itself on the strength of the legal and compliance controls that underpin iSelect's strategic objectives and strong customer experiences, which are critical in maintaining iSelect's reputation as a trusted advisor to its customers.

As an integral team member within our Legal & Compliance your role of Legal Counsel is to provide legal advice and support to all of iSelect's business units (health insurance, life insurance, general insurance, home loans, telecommunication, energy and financial services), and to iSelect's back office functions, such as compliance, IT, data analytics and HR.

Your role will see you partner with various internal stakeholders including our Executive Management team, to support the business in Commercial agreements, Partner agreements, General Legal advice, Communication & Marketing reviews, Regulatory advice and Assist with registers and reporting.

What you need:

• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
• Bachelor of Laws with an excellent academic record
• Practising certificate
• Strong background in commercial law and contracts
• A customer-centred focus with a desire to deliver a strong level of service
• Clear and logical thinker with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively and to recognise appropriate matters for escalation to senior lawyers
• Ability to recognise and understand business risks and support the risk management process
• Ability to balance and prioritise work and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
• Hands on, team player
