Job Description:

Orbis Legal is a boutique law firm in the Sydney CBD that undertakes work mainly within property, family and criminal law. We are looking for talented and enthusiastic law students or pre-admission graduates to undertake voluntary work experience through a Practical Legal Training Placement. This is an opportunity for you to gain practical experience and invaluable insight into the legal industry. various aspects of legal practice.

Your role will include:

• Attending to client correspondence through phone, mail and fax;
• Attending Court hearings and assisting solicitors with their work; • Drafting and filing court documents;
• Legal research; and
• Other general administration tasks

To be a successful in this role you will need to have:

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Preferably previous work experience in an office environment;
• Be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications;
• Be committed to working at least 2-3 days per week; and
• Have a positive attitude and a growth mindset within the office.
