The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to work in our Melbourne Insurance Law practice. Supporting a busy team you will display a willingness to learn and have experience in either litigation or Insurance from within a fast-paced and ideally high volume Law practice group. It would be preferred that you will also have Magistrates’ Court experience.

You will be regarded as an integral member who will provide superior administrative support and a variety of ad-hoc duties.

Responsibilities Will Include The Following

  • Extensive diary management
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Preparation and reconciliation of expenses
  • Client liaison and management
  • Preparing legal documents
  • Court filing and subpoena inspection
  • Opening and closing of files
  • Organising events & functions
  • Billing
  • File management
  • PA duties as required

The ideal candidate will have Legal/Personal Assistant experience with excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting, and have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, and have exceptional attention to detail. A professional outlook, backed by a great sense of humour would see you fit in well with the team. The core office hours are 8.30am to 5pm, however extra hours may be required when necessary.
