Our Sydney group works in all areas of workplace relations acting for employers with a primary focus on employment law, WH&S and regulatory investigations. You will deal with clients directly and be involved in a range of contentious (across all jurisdictions) and non-contentious matters. The group has been recognised as a leading practice in Sydney and acts for some of Australia's largest employers.
The group is a growing, successful practice and a close and supportive team - you will work with a number of senior practitioners who are committed to ensuring you develop your skills and experience.
Your skills and experience
You will possess at least 4 years of post-admission experience gained in a broad workplace relations practice. You will have reached a level where you have a demonstrated track record for successfully running matters with the support and guidance of Partners.
You will have developed strong drafting skills, possess an eye for detail and have a good knowledge of and a keen interest in the law. As such, you will pride yourself in keeping up to date with the law and changes in the industries in which the group operates. Whilst you will enjoy working across a range of areas you will also be looking to develop a niche area of speciality.
You will have demonstrated experience in litigation including in common law courts and WR&S tribunals and have a keen desire to continue to maintain a leading role in litigation when required.
You must enjoy working in a fast paced team environment. Given the vibrant nature and continued development in this area of practice you must have a strong desire to maintain your learning and development alongside the opportunity to take part in the training that the group undertakes for its clients in relevant areas.
You must enjoy interacting and working closely with clients. You will relish the opportunity to build relationships with them to enable you are able to develop a strong understanding of and involvement in their business to better advise them in relation to their workplace requirements.
