Job Description:

We are seeking a part time lawyer who shares our company vision, mission and values PAE 3+ years to join our small, collegial team to assist principal in estate and wills, property and Elder law.

About the role:

9.00am – 5.30pm with an hour for lunch over 3 days per week
$40,000 - $45,000 p/a


  • Capable of handling probate and will matters from commencement to finalisation.
  • Setting up files on LEAP
  • Attending to admin tasks on files
  • Estates: Capable of taking instructions and gathering info about the assets, drawing the necessary documents and dealing with the admin of the estate, calling in assets, selling assets and final distribution
  • Drafting lease documents
  • Property and Conveyancing: Assisting the clerk with conveyancing
  • Elder Law: Assisting Principal lawyer on retirement village contracts

About our Ideal Candidate:

  • Law degree. 3 + years of rounded experience with client interaction
  • Good all rounder
  • Good knowledge of PEXA
  • Good knowledge of Information technology
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Have strong analytical skills, sound judgement and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • High level of prioritisation, time management and self-management skills
  • Ability to manage clients with courtesy, respect and efficiency at all times
  • Be a 'self-starter,' and have the capacity and ability to develop business
  • Advanced knowledge of LEAP is highly desirable
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Good Listener
  • Confident and well-spoken
  • Ability to ask for assistance when needed
  • Good problem solver
  • Team player but can also work autonomously
  • Dexterity
