An opportunity to work directly with Partner, Caroline Carnegie is on offer for a skilled mid-level corporate lawyer with ambition to be cultivated by a well-regarded Corporate/ M&A leader. Residing within an M&A practice of four Partners and lawyers across varied levels, in our Melbourne office, you should have at least three years experience within a general corporate practice servicing in mergers, acquisitions and disposals, contract preparation and negotiation, asset sales and other transactional advice, across a broad variety of industry sectors.
In addition to a vast range of mergers and acquisitions work, Caroline's practice encompasses advice on distribution and logistics arrangements, corporate governance and general commercial work, together with sports law.
What does the role involve?
This role will be a key resource for Caroline on a day to day basis, where you'll have the chance to:
act for international and domestic clients from a variety of different industries
advise on a range of corporate and commercial matters including Mergers and Acquisitions, disposals. distribution and logistics arrangements and asset sales
participate in business development and client relationship activities
access and work with our global network of lawyers and resources
contribute to the firm's learning and development programs in your area of specialty.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have 4 - 5 years post qualification experience in the Corporate/M&A practice area working in a similar firm on similar matters.
You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills and work well in a team. A high level of client service is expected as are excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills.
The successful applicant will have exceptional technical abilities and be commercially minded.
