If you have an interest in pro bono and are looking to augment your existing legal knowledge with practical legal experience, JusticeNet offers an excellent opportunity participate in the coordination of pro bono legal services in South Australia. You will be involved in running a not-for-profit organisation, be exposed to real-life cases and gain an insight into the manner in which JusticeNet works with member firms and barristers to assist marginalised people within the community.
What opportunities are available?
JusticeNet offers student placements as part of Clinical Legal Education courses at university. Students can volunteer for one day per week for 8-12 weeks during the university semester as part of their course. Currently, the University of South Australia and Adelaide University participates in this program. JusticeNet also accepts law student volunteers outside this program (including volunteering beyond the normal university timetable and over the summer break) subject to availability.
