About the Role
A fulltime permanent position has become available at the Unpaid Super Office based in Melbourne CBD. 
 
The Legal Officer will be required to:

  • Negotiate and formalise Terms of Settlement in accordance with Industry Super Funds’ policies
  • Provide accurate and feasible instructions to solicitors and follow through to conclusion
  • Perform superannuation Audits
  • Check all legal documents are correct
  • Ensure all cases are followed up as per Unpaid Super standards
  • Liaise with 3rd parties as required (e.g. employers, fund administrators, legal service providers)
  • Maintain and build positive relationships with Trustees (Fund) and other Service Providers.

 
About You
We are looking for applicants who are motivated, enthusiastic and looking to further their career with a Company you can be proud of.
 
Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has recently completed or is studying a legal discipline or understands workplace legal proceedings
  • Has clear communication skills – both written and oral – as well as strong negotiation skills
  • Has a fine eye for detail
  • Has well developed Microsoft Office skills
  • Is able to work well in a supportive team environment

 
Experience in the financial services sector would also be viewed favourably.
